Educational Qualification:
| Junior Assistant –cumTypist (JAT) |
(i) 10+2 orequivalent
(ii) Typing test with a speed of
40 w.p.m. in English or 35 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer
Desirable: A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university |
| Stenographer |
(i) 10+2 or equivalent
(ii)typing test with a speed of 40 w.p.m. in English or 35 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer and
(iii) Shorthand Test @ 80 w.p.m.

Age Limit:
- Junior Assistant cum Typist (JAT) - 18-27 years
- Stenographer - 18 -30 Years
- The Upper Age Limit is Relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST ;3 years for OBC, 10 years for persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST/PWD's & 13 years for OBC PWD's) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Salary Process:
- Junior Assistant cum Typist (JAT) - Rs. 19900 - 63200 Level 02 of 7th CPC
- Stenographer - Rs. 25500 - 81100 Level 04 of 7th CPC
Selection Process:
- Computer Based Test
- Inerview
Application Fee/Exam Fee for UPSC Geo-Scientist:- SC/ST/EWS/FEMALE - Rs. 600/-
- Unreserved (UR) & OBC - Rs. 1000/-
